Chuang Moolpinit, honored as the National Artist in Visual
Arts (Painting) in 2013, began his artistic career by providing
illustrations for various books and magazines, as well as designing
book covers and movie posters, primarily featuring Thai literature.
Inspired by his fascination with traditional Thai motifs, Chuang
ingeniously incorporates elements of nature, such as leaves,
grass, and trees, into Thai patterns, resulting in a fusion of natural
and traditional motifs.
He adeptly employs watercolor and oil painting techniques, alongside
his mastery of drawing, to present philosophical, religious, and
existential themes. His art, which depicts insects, animals, and
human activities, sometimes carries hints of erotic undertones,
while at other times offers profound insights into the cycle of life.

Gongkan is a young Thai artist. He became famous for street
art in New York City and he had the opportunity to be part of the
Street Art New York Community. He graduated from the Faculty
of Decorative Arts, Department of Communication Arts, Silpakorn
University. He created art with a minimalist style. Gongkan is
very fond of and has a passion for time so he created a unique
work called a

Inson Wongsam, a celebrated Thai contemporary artist, earned
his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Silpakorn University before
embarking on a journey that would shape his artistic vision. In
1962, he traveled from Thailand to Florence, Italy4Professor Silpa
Bhirasri9s birthplace4on a Lambretta scooter, an experience
that broadened his creative horizons and deepened his artistic
philosophy.
Upon returning to Thailand in 1974, Inson embraced a rural
lifestyle while continuing to produce art in various forms, including
sculpture, painting, and mixed media. His works are distinguished
by their organic forms, reflecting his deep appreciation for natural
materials, particularly large teakwood stumps. His artistic
philosophy is rooted in three essential elements: experience,
imagination, and wisdom. Accumulating both life and artistic
experiences as the foundation for creative energy, possessing
the vision to transform abstract concepts into tangible forms,
and harnessing intellect to refine these ideas into meaningful
expressions. Through his mastery of carving, Inson redefined
Thai modern sculpture, leaving a lasting legacy in the art world.
ITHIPOL THANGCHALOK

Ithipol Thangchalok was a pioneering Thai abstract artist and a
graduate of Silpakorn University, Class of 1970. He later earned a
Master of Fine Arts from the University of Washington, USA4an
experience that profoundly shaped his artistic vision. Over the course
of his career, Ithipol emerged as one of Thailand9s most respected
abstract painters, representing the country in key international
exhibitions, including the 14th National Exhibition in Yugoslavia
(1972), and later in Japan (1980) and Norway (1984).
