From the shifting interplay of light and shadow through the passage of time, from the most ordinary of things emerges Preecha Thaothong9s
distinctive philosophy and artistic vision.
This series belongs to the artist9s early body of work, developed through his close observation of the changing light, color, and atmosphere of the
sugar-palm landscape from dawn until dusk. These observations became a vital source of inspiration in the development of Preecha9s distinctive
artistic practice. At its core lies an elemental principle of nature: that all things exist in relation to one another4where there is darkness, there is
light; where there is birth, there is inevitably death. From these seemingly simple landscapes, Preecha gradually developed and expanded his
practice into works of profound meaning, imbued with Buddhist philosophical thought.
