Cheewa Komolmalai was a sculptor devoted to the art of carving throughout his life, working
distinctively in materials such as wood and stone. Natural forms, fused with personal
experience, became a driving force in his pursuit of the essential nature of form. This
sculpture depicts the human figure through a gentle, semi-abstract language, conveying a
sense of purity and the emergence of life itself.
