ABOUT US
Restaurateurs Sans Fronti•res created in 1981 in Avignon, France and began
working in Thailand in 1998 through the restoration project to conserve and
restore Buddhist temples in collaboration with the Fine Arts Department.
Thanks to the French Embassy and more specifically, the agreements
obtained by Francine MŽoule at the time. The restoration was part of a wider
project to restore 5 different cultural sites around the world as part of the French
Year 2000 Celebrations (Cuba, Mount Athos Greece, Cairo Egypt, Valletta France
and Thailand)
During the 1950s, the large number of paintings by His Majesty King Bhumibol
Adulyadej the Great restoration project executed at Chitrada Palace.
In 2003, the Amporn Palace paintings and wall paintings restoration project
began and was under supervision by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha
Vajiralongkorn (title at the time). This project took around 15 years.
